Our Factory & Quality Control in Foshan

Inside our 100,000 m² factory in Foshan: production lines, the QC evidence chain, certificates per category, and how to book a visit.

Our Factory & Quality Control in Foshan

Before you place an order, check where it is made

Nearly every supplier site claims “our own factory”. Few show you the building, the line your order runs on, or the records that leave the workshop with it.

This page is that tour in writing: the two buildings we run in Foshan, the production steps your order passes through, the quality file you receive, and how to come and check it yourself.

Send your floor plan or BOQ on WhatsApp (+44 7719 795480) — a coordinator replies within one working day.

Two buildings, one address in Foshan

George Group has been based in Foshan, Guangdong since 2006. This is a city where a single street can supply a hinge, a stone slab and a glazing unit, and that concentration is why production here moves quickly without moving far.

BuildingSizeWhat happens there
Factory100,000 m²Cabinet and wardrobe parts are cut, edged, sprayed and assembled. Interior doors are machined and finished. Aluminium profiles for windows and curtain walls are cut, assembled and glazed. Stone is cut, book-matched and polished.
Showroom30,000 m²Full-size displays across all eight categories: kitchens, wardrobes, doors and windows, stone, tiles, sanitary ware, lighting and furniture.

The showroom sits next to the production halls rather than across town. Your designer can inspect a finish or a hinge on the showroom floor, then walk into the workshop and confirm the same detail is buildable at the quoted price.

Not everything in a multi-category order is made under this roof. Lighting and sanitary ware come from partner factories in the same city that we have worked with for years, and those items pass through the same inspection steps described below. We state this plainly because “all made in our own factory” is a claim most eight-category suppliers cannot support.

What happens to your order on the line

Assembling door frames for a villa project on the production line

Production does not start from a catalogue code. It starts from a shop drawing you have approved.

  1. Cutting and machining. Panels are cut to the confirmed dimensions, then drilled and machined on CNC lines.
  2. Edging and surface finishing. Edges are banded, and door fronts are finished in the agreed lacquer, melamine, PET or veneer — in the agreed grain direction.
  3. Assembly and hardware. Carcasses are assembled, doors and drawers are hung, and hardware is fitted to the confirmed brand and model.
  4. Stone and glazing. Slabs are cut to the setting-out drawing and book-matched where the design asks for it. Aluminium is cut, assembled and glazed to the confirmed glass build-up.
  5. Packing. Cartons are labelled by room and unit, then packed in installation sequence.

Through these steps, the QC team photographs and films the actual parts in production — not a sample unit, not a showroom display.

The quality evidence chain

This is what survives the distance between a workshop in Foshan and a site on the other side of the world. Every order builds a file, in a fixed order.

StageWhat you receiveWhat it settles
1. Approved drawingsShop drawings with dimensions, materials, finishes and hardwareWhat the order is, before anything is cut
2. In productionPhotos and video from the lineThat production matches the approved drawing
3. Pre-shipment inspectionInspection before packing: sizes, finishes, hardware, quantitiesThat the goods leave the workshop as approved
4. Packing listCartons numbered by room, wall and unit, in installation sequenceWhich carton goes where on site
5. LoadingContainer loading photosThat the packed list matches the container, and how the load was braced

The file is sent to you while the order is in production, not assembled after a complaint. If your project, bank or client requires third-party inspection, SGS, BV or TÜV can attend the pre-shipment check.

Ask to see a real QC file from a live order — WhatsApp (+44 7719 795480). A coordinator replies within one working day.

How buyers check quality without flying to Foshan

Containers being loaded with inspected tiles before dispatch

Most buyers approve from their own office, so the process is built for remote review.

Before production, we courier sample boxes: door faces, stone offcuts, flooring, fabric swatches, hardware. Approval is against the physical sample, not a photograph. If a finish has to match something already on site, send us a physical sample first — matching from an image is guesswork for both sides.

If you would rather see the line without travelling, ask for a live video walk during production, or a recorded walkthrough plus photos of the parts made for your order.

Certificates, category by category

Certification is not a logo wall. The documents that clear a project in the UK are not the documents that clear a project in Saudi Arabia or the United States, and they differ by product inside the same container.

Tell your coordinator which market you import into. We will confirm what applies to those specific items before you order — CE, ISO9001, cUPC, WRAS and SASO among them — and certificates are shared on request per category.

Come and see it

A first order is worth a visit. One morning on the lines and the loading dock answers more than a month of email.

Visits run by appointment so the right people are on site: usually Ivana, our senior sales director, who has spent ten years in the global furniture and building-materials market, plus the designer for your product category. A typical visit covers a factory walk from cutting to loading, a showroom session where you handle the finishes you are considering, and a meeting on your drawings and quotation.

Send your travel dates and we will confirm the schedule, an interpreter for the day, and advice on transfers and hotels. Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN) is the closest major airport.

Two things we will not pretend

  • On-site installation is not included unless separately agreed. We manufacture, pack and ship; your own team installs from our drawings, with remote support from the same coordinator.
  • Colours and finishes are approved against physical samples. Screens show colour differently, so product images are not used for final finish approval.

A supplier who will not state the limits of an offer is unlikely to state a mistake either.

FAQ

Is this your own factory or a trading office?

Both buildings are ours, in Foshan, where George Group started in 2006: 100,000 m² of production and a 30,000 m² showroom. Partner factories handle lighting and sanitary ware, and those items follow the same QC chain as everything else.

Can my own inspector attend the inspection?

Yes. Your QC team or a third party such as SGS, BV or TÜV is welcome at the pre-shipment inspection. Give your coordinator the proposed date and the goods will be staged before packing.

Do small orders get the same QC?

Yes. Every order follows the same five steps in the same order — approved drawings, production records, pre-shipment inspection, room-level packing list, loading photos — whether it is a single kitchen or a whole villa.

Can I see the factory without travelling?

Yes. Ask for a live video walk during production, or a recorded walkthrough plus photos of the specific parts being made for you.

What certifications can you send?

Certificates are shared on request per category. Depending on the product and the market, that can include CE, ISO9001, cUPC, WRAS or SASO. Tell us where the container is going and we will confirm what applies.

How quickly will I get a reply?

A coordinator replies within one working day. WhatsApp (+44 7719 795480) is the fastest route.

Tell us what the project needs

Send a floor plan, a BOQ or a room list. You will get an itemised quotation by category, the design-fee terms in writing — 100% credited back once your order reaches twenty times the fee — and one coordinator who stays with the order from first drawing to delivery.
